Objective of Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has launched the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana for the state's laborers and workers. The state government will provide financial assistance ranging from $10,000 to ten lakh under this scheme to help workers establish their own livelihoods. Migrant workers, traditional artisans, and various craftsmen such as weavers, tailors, basket makers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, potters, barbers, cobblers, confectioners, and others will benefit from the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. This comprehensive initiative goes beyond financial assistance. Skilled workers and artisans will also receive free training in their respective crafts, as well as free tool kits relevant to their professions.

Qualifications for Vishwakarma Shram Samman:

The minimum age requirement is 18 years. Importantly, no specific educational qualification is required to apply for this scheme.

Applicants must not have received any tool kit-related benefits from the federal or state governments in the previous two years. It is worth noting that only one member of each family is eligible to apply for this scheme.
